The more a bell is struck, the further its sound travels.

       Amitabha’s deliverance works the same way: the more the people assault it, the further His Dharma message reaches.

      Amitabha’s deliverance is unconditional. However, there is a cost associated with having faith in the Buddha’s deliverance, that is, you must fully submit yourself to the Buddha. This is like riding on a ship across the ocean, your whole body must be on the ship, which is the meaning of “Namo” – paying homage to Amitabha Buddha.

       Suppose that you can afford ten thousand dollars, you certainly can afford eight or ten dollars. Likewise, if you fully devote yourself to Amitabha Buddha, naturally your devotion will withstand all kinds of misunderstanding, defamation and oppression. In reality, these stresses and sufferings do not exist, they are only the necessary nourishments in the process of our growth to maturity.
