A Metaphor of the Moon’s Brilliance: Amitabha’s Light Always Embraces Those Who Recite His Name
The glowing moonlight warms the entire earth. Under it, pristine fragrant lotuses rise from murky sludge, blossoming luxuriantly.
The radiant light of Amitabha’s wisdom pervades far and wide. Under it, afflicted sentient beings develop faith
as pure as lotus flowers, embarking on an enlightened Dharma path.
The gentle and soothing moonlight relieves anxieties and distress of all practitioners, giving them joy.
Amitabha's compassion and loving-kindness give sentient beings protection and hope.
The moonlight permeates all land, equally and universally,
Yet dewless grass does not reflect the moon.
The Buddha is big-hearted, delivering all foolish mortals,
Yet those who are without faith in him do not recognise his compassion and loving-kindness.
The silvery moon may gleam on all,
yet it only dwells in the hearts of those who gaze at the night sky.
Amitabha vowed to deliver us all,
yet the Buddha’s light embraces only those who recite his name.
