The Manifestation of Faith in Actions
As the saying goes, “One’s genuine intentions are revealed through their actions.” This implies that what one truly holds in their mind naturally manifests in their words and deeds. Similarly, individuals who wholeheartedly believe in and rely on Amitabha Buddha, earnestly aspiring to be reborn in the Land of Ultimate Bliss, tend to display a nonchalant attitude towards worldly matters. For them, rebirth in the Land of Ultimate Bliss is of utmost importance—the sole purpose of their entire life.
Someone who has faith in Amitabha's salvation and aspires for rebirth in the Land of Bliss surely feels indifferent to delusive and distracting thoughts. Instead, they hold Amitabha’s name as paramount in their hearts. Consequently, they naturally recite aloud, “Namo Amitabha Buddha, Namo Amitabha Buddha…” at any time and in any place. They may also recite in silence, whether in a Buddha Hall, bathroom, or any other location.
With a mind imbued with earnestness and reverence, they cling steadfastly to this belief and never waver in it.
